DR. GARY TYE
CHIEF PEDIATRIC NEUROSURGEON
Dr. Gary Tye is an assistant professor at the Department of Neurosurgery at VCU School of Medicine. He is also the Chief Pediatric Neurosurgeon. Dr. Tye received his B.S. from Virginia Tech, M.S. in physical therapy from Old Dominion University in Nofolk, VA and his M.D. from VCU, here in Richmond, VA. He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in neurosurgery at VCU and then completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include tethered cord, occult tethered cord, epilepsy, brain tumors and minimally invasive surgery.
