3rd Walking Toward a Pain Free Future Event

"Join us in Bridgton on July 11th for the 3rd Walking Toward a Pain Free Future Event to raise awareness for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. RSD/CRPS is a chronic neurological pain syndrome. Although you probably have not heard of RSD/CRPS, many people live with this debilitating condition everyday. The hope is to spread awareness, and raise funds for two organizations who help out RSD/CRPS patients. The two organizations are The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain and the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA). Both TCAPP and RSDSA are very active organizations that work with patients, educate physicians and other medical personnel, as well as research for new treatments.

This year the event is in going to be held in honor and memory of Lauren Georgia Reilly who is now flying high and pain free after a long battle with RSD/CRPS and many related heath problems. Come out to support her memory to raise awareness, and to fight for a cure.

The day will include a short walk through downtown Bridgton, a bake sale, raffle and plenty of time to learn more about RSD/CRPS! We hope you will join us!

Alone We Are Rare, Together We Are Strong

An important part of TCAPP’s mission is to bring together families of children dealing with chronic pain.  The Outreach Program was born with this initiative in mind, and we hope to grow it to include every state.

State Ambassadors have volunteered to be someone to contact if you have questions and they are available to help point families in the right direction.  They will also be putting together several gatherings throughout the year to give us a way to connect.  This community will grow stronger with every person who wants to help – if you are interested in being involved, please contact the ambassador in your state.  And, don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed to keep up-to-date on what is happening.
